CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK - All volunteers with the hot lunch program need to have a criminal record check completed every three years. If you do not have a recent record check on file with the district, please go to the welcome centre (school office) to pick up the forms.
What is your refund policy?
As this is a fundraiser and we have to pay the suppliers for the food delivered, we do not offer refunds.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change or cancel orders after they have been placed.
What should I do if my child is away?
If your child will be away and you would like to make arrangements for the food that has been ordered please email canyonfallspac@gmail.com before 10:00 a.m. on the day of hot lunch with instructions. If we do not hear from parents before this time, any food not picked up, will be donated to the learning resource room to be distributed to families in need.
Can I have my sibling/friend’s order because they are away today?
We are unable to give an order to another student without prior written approval by the account holder who placed the order.
What if my child does not get their order or gets the wrong food?
Please make sure that students know what has been ordered for each day. There are often 500+ orders in one day that are delivered out to the students in a 15 minute window. Mistakes can happen. If students do not get their correct order, they will have to come to the servery and the volunteers can ensure they get their correct order.
My child does not like what they ordered?
Unfortunately, due to food safe guidelines, we are unable to exchange food. As this is a fundraiser and we have to pay the suppliers for the food delivered, we do not offer refunds.
When is the order deadline?
Each hot lunch day has an order deadline that is approximately 7 – 10 days prior to the hot lunch day to allow for time to place the order with the suppliers. The order end date is displayed on each hot lunch day listing.
My child has allergies, is the food safe?
If you child has allergies and you have questions about ingredients, food preparation, cross contamination, etc. please reach out and we will do our best to answer your questions. We can also provide direct contact information to our vendors if you need to speak with them.
How can I see what days I have ordered for?
There is a green dollar sign icon that shows up beside the date of the hot lunch day once an order has been placed. If you click on the icon it will take you to the order so you can see what items have been paid for.
I heard that there will be some food for sale?
There will be a small amount of extra food available for purchase at the servery counter each hot lunch day. This is cash only and first come first serve. We will first deliver all the pre-ordered food out to the communities and then start counter sales at about 12:10p.m.
Our 3rd Annual CMS Winter Market will be held Saturday, November 30 from 10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
This event will feature over 50 local vendors including CMS Student Entrepreneurs in our gym. Entrance to the market will be by donation. Remember to bring cash as some of the vendors including all of the students do not have debit machines.
Funds raised by the CMS PAC provide additional financial support to further the school's many objectives and to offer events and activities that contribute to the spirit and community of the school.
